This project is an attempt to
restore grace and sacredness
to the food that nourishes us
every day and whose meaning
and importance we are quickly
forgetting. The cylinders that
make up this fruit bowl are
waste semi-finished products
derived from some processes
carried out within the company.
They are all different in size
and type of marble and have
been modified to make their
upper base concave in order to
transform them into pedestals
on which a single fruit can be
displayed.
They can be freely
combined with each other
by type of marble and size,
giving life to very different
compositions.
They are sold in groups of three
or five pieces.
Nel 2024 Altari é stato selezionato ed esposto nella collezione "Quirinale Contemporaneo" una prestigiosa mostra permanente allestita nelle stanze del Quirinale a Roma, in compagnia di altre importanti opere realizzate da artisti e designer contemporanei di fama internazionale.
